The app is so personal that there is no pressure to be a certain way or impress others. I also love the “Reel” – it makes it fun to flip through all your moments quickly.

How did you document your memories before Reel You?

Social media. When I first started using social media, I thought it was going to be solely about me and over time I realized it’s more about getting others to like what I’m doing with my life. My profile has become something that’s not really me anymore.

What comes to mind when you think of social media?

Pressure. Lots of pressure. You’re trying to impress others, market yourself and show how everything in your life is really good.

… and what comes to mind when you think of Reel You?

A personal journal, although something more accessible and quicker than a physical journal.

How do you describe Reel You to someone who has never heard of it?

It’s a personal log of your goals, your day, your good and your bad. It’s all personal for you… no one else sees it. Even if you decide to share a moment, it still remains personal. It’s for anyone who wants to truly reflect on their life and how they feel.
